They say, ‘You only ever get out of something what you put in’.

Therefore, the motive and reasons for embarking upon this venture and the personal contribution made, will greatly determine the overall level of reward from the experience for both the host and the guest.

Overall the aim of, The Woodland Grange, would be to provide a safe, encouraging and relaxed environment where the guest can be themselves in the uniqueness and beauty of who they were lovingly created to be and to learn, develop and grow as a person during their time away whilst having fun and enjoyment in the process.

It would be hoped that, in a positive sense, the person who leaves would not be the same person who came.

However, it has been found that in most situations, to get something we have never had, almost inevitably requires us to do something we may never have done.

Therefore, to achieve this potential for a life changing experience, it would be predicted this will involve some degree of challenge to existing outlooks and perceptions, side stepping the familiar, exiting the comfort zone, surfacing fears and stretching faith.

Spices

Stays generally range from one to three weeks, catering exclusively toward a unique one on one, interactive discipleship experience, however depending upon specific needs this can, on rare occasion, be extended to include a married couple.

Accommodation, is self contained and comfortably laid out with complimentary breakfast, lunch and exquisite evening meals being offered on the premises, however, with a requirement for the guest to be flexible in their taste of foods and to enjoy healthy eating habits devoid of junk or processed food.

For those with a passion and competency for cooking they are more than welcome to share in and contribute to meal preparation.

Furthermore, advice can be given on healthy eating, nutrition, fitness routines and natural remedies with the property also hosting a small but well equipped gym.

Rake and Wheelbarrow

Likewise, there are endless opportunities for the guest to participate in various ongoing maintenance and development projects, as an extra pair of hands, not only from a therapeutic standpoint but also to learn a variety of construction and landscaping skills, if so desired.

These voluntary tasks are wide ranging and varied and the host will endeavour to assign only those that coincide with the guests specific gift and skills base, however, many will involve manual labour so the guest must have a genuine interest in this type of project, which will make the difference as to whether the tasks prove to be enjoyable or a chore.
